Description

Rgni is the youngest Cru du Beaujolais; the recognition dates back to 1988. The vineyards extend around the church of Rgni-Durette with its distinctive twin towers. Made from at least 40 year old vines. Ruby red color with purple brilliance. Nose of blue plums, red cherries and raspberries. Lots of raspberries, cherries in the mouth and a remarkably full, concentrated taste for Beaujolais. Freshness and elegance dominate, with a heart of red cherries and currants. Serve slightly chilled.
