Les Clos des Epeneaux is one of 10 large monopoles in the Cte de Beaune and Cte de Nuits. Situated at the heart of Grands and Petits Epeneaux, it posseses a strikingly different terroir than its neighbors. these are old vines, planted between 1930 and 1986 and every year, 4 – 5 cuves are created based on the vines’ ages. Clos des Epeneaux comes from vines averaging 55 years. Powerful, though graceful and fine all in the same instant, this Pinot Noir is the towards the height of what one can experience in Burgundy.
