Clos Ren is a Pomerol wine estate located in the western portion of the appelletion, in the Bordeaux region’s so-called “right bank”, northeast of the Dordogne river. Clos Ren is owned and operated by the Garde-Lasserre family, which also controls Chteau Moulinet-Lasserre in Pomerol and Chteau La Mission in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation to the north. The Clos Ren estate covers 12 hectares (29 acres) and is planted to roughly 70 percent Merlot, 20 pecent Cabernet Franc and 10 percent Malbec proportions that are generally found in the final wine.
