Located on the outskirts of the prestigious village of Chteauneuf-du-Pape , the family estate has been perpetuated over the generations , historically by the Mayard family, then Roumieux. Founded in 1923, Clos du Calvaire now makes room for new generations. Sharing and know-how are transmitted and renewed, our philosophy is resolutely focused on respecting living things and the ecosystem in which the vine takes root. All of our plots are cultivated organically with a focus on agroecology to improve the biodiversity and sustainability of the Chteauneuf du Pape vineyard . Over the years and the work of each generation of winegrowers , we maintain the objective of producing vintages reflecting the authenticity of the grape varieties and the excellence of the terroirs of the Chteauneuf du Pape appellation. Our estate located in the heart of the Chteauneuf-du-Pape vineyard welcomes you all year round . For more than 10 years, wine tourism has been an activity that is close to our hearts to help you discover the production methods, terroirs and wines of Chteauneuf-du-Pape through a visit or a tasting . During a getaway to Clos du Calvaire , you can soak up the history and know-how that have made this Chteauneuf du Pape estate famous since its creation in 1923. It is possible to discover the estate during a guided tour which will take you through the vineyard, the cellar and the aging cellar. Or more simply during a guided tasting of our wines in our cellar located in the heart of the vineyard.
