Producer Information

Since 1996, I have been running my parents’ family business with my wife Ulrike. We cultivate the only vineyard in Spay and also vineyards in Bopparder Hamm, including unique recultivated steep slopes. Our new winery is located on a large property on the outskirts of Spay, directly surrounded by our own vineyards, orchards, bushes and forest. Our goal is to produce authentic Riesling and Pinot Noir wines of outstanding quality – embedded in sustainable production and care of the cultural landscape. The Weingart winery received funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) for its investments in the Peterspay cultural landscape project: Here, Europe is investing in rural areas as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate development program Environmental Measures, Rural Development, Agriculture, Nutrition (EULLE), co-financed by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
