A Rich Repose 28 Year Old 1994 – Wemyss Malts (Glen Spey) Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Dusty oak, a hint of menthol, orange marmalade on fresh toast with an abundance of rich dried fruit.

Palate: Gentle flavours of moreish, juicy apricot develop into dark red berries accompanied by melted white chocolate with figs & red grape in support.

Finish: Crystallised ginger, fruity sherry & orange peel, with a hint of bitter drying dark chocolate.

Distillery Information

Founded in 1878 by James Stuart, Glen Spey operated under the radar for centuries as a component of blends. It wasn’t until 2001, when Diageo purchased the distillery, that an official bottling was released. It’s history includes a small dire in 1920, and a doubling of its amount of stills in 1970.
