Description

Gusto Historico Tepextate/ Tobala/ Cuixe/ Madrecuixe was made by maestro mezcalero Juan Vzquez in the community of Miahuatlan, Oaxaca. Its produced with 50%Agave marmorata, 15%Agave potatorum, 25%Agave karwinskii sp, and 10%Agave karwinskii. This was double distilled in a copper alambique still in May of 2016. Gusto Histrico specializes in bringing unique destilados de agave y mezcales tradicionales to the market. The brand was started by one of the co-founders of famed Oaxacan mezcaleria Mezcaloteca, and the Gusto Histrico brand features many of the same producers, with a focus on preserving traditional production methods and practices.
