Description

The Tinto is a blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca and 30% Tinta Roriz, aged for 16 months in used French oak. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol. Adding some smoothness and cream to the texture of the Passa , this maintains the Passa’s dry and serious feel. It is a bit sterner and duller than it normally is, frankly. While it shows some power and reasonably good concentration, there is little in the way of vivid, lifted flavor. Overall, it’s still a respectable performance for the regular Tinto in this difficult vintage. It will drink well young, although it could probably use six months to settle down.
