This Irish whiskey is a tribute to the regiment, the brainchild of Col. James Tierney, a retired regiment officer who spent a decade as the units historian. Sourced along the southern Irish coast and aged there in once-used bourbon and sherry casks, its unique mash bill combines the finest malted barley, fermented and distilled with pure Irish water, resulting in a fine Irish whiskey that evokes the motto of the fighting 69th: “Gentle when stroked, fierce when provoked.
