The limited-edition GlenAllachie Wine Cask Series involved Master Blender Billy Walker firstly maturing the spirit in the finest American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, before transferring the whisky into hand-selected European wine barriques for secondary aging. For this Cuve Wine Cask Finish bottling, Billy blended four exceptional wine cask finishes into one unique expression. The single malt is a marriage of spirit matured in several fine wine casks sourced from Bordeaux, Languedoc and Valpolicella. Bottled at 48% abv, and free from chill-filtration.
